Jesus Frees Believers From Guilt

I wonder how often people feel accused or condemned by whispers that speak from past transgressions?

For example, women who have had an abortion can feel the ugliness of guilt from family, friends, and even the church.

A person who has suffered through a divorce can feel embarrassed due failing as a spouse and parent.

Homeless people can feel worthless due to being viewed as lazy.

All condemnation can send people into isolation and loneliness.

There are numerous figures in the Bible who felt guilty and were guilty, including one thief who hung on a cross next to Jesus as a condemned criminal. The criminal said to Jesus,  "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus ushered the thief into paradise at death.

Jesus did not condemn, embarrass, or shame the thief. But, saved the thief from eternity in hell.

The Bible says God no longer condemns believers in Christ of past blunders or transgressions.

In Christ, no condemnations means you have been declared innocent in the eyes of Christ. Even when sin is warring against you or others disparage you, the judge no longer sentences you. It means Christ has redeemed you and intercedes on your behalf. You have been granted a righteous legalize. The devil cannot accuse you or summons you in God’s spiritual court of law. Not one failure is permitted to bind you in chains any longer. Not because of what you have done or will ever do but because of the debt that Christ paid in full. The supreme judge has set you free! Walk in the unearned radiance of grace! PressForward, friends, and trust that you are set free! ♡

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:1-2).
