God Gives Enduring Strength
The Ten Commandments was a favorite movie in many households in the 1960s and 1970s. In one interview about his experience during the making of the movie, Charlton Heston (who played Moses), stated he could feel God's enduring strength on Moses while playing the character during scenes that included blowing desert dust and rippling heat throughout the making of the movie.
It is so true that where God leads His people, He also gives believers strength to endure the journey. The Holy Spirit allows us to bear up under every test and trial. The Lord is at every turn lifting us up above the crashing waves. In doing so, God also strips away our self-sufficiency, so that we see His hands guiding us, His arms holding us up, and all for His glory. The Apostle Paul withstood numerous hardships, including a shipwreck, floggings, beaten to near death, a venomous snake bite all by God's strength and all due to sharing the Gospel. Through each ordeal, Paul knew and trusted that God’s sovereign hand was on the Apostle, especially as he wrote four letters (Philippians, Ephesians, Colossians, and Philemon) while caged in a Roman prison. Therefore, he put pen to paper and noted that he could do all thing he was called to do in Christ's strength (Philippians 4:13). Whatever your hardship, the Lord will provide and guide your way. PressForward in God’s supernatural strength, friends. ♡
