The Apple of My Eye
I can remember being tickled and filled with delight at the news of my first grandchild being born. I was equally tickled when my fifth grandchild was born.
I have great fondness for my grandchildren. You might say they are the "apple of my eye." In biblical terms that phrase is figurative language used by Hebrew writers to indicate someone who is valued above all others. Your eyes are watchful on them; you do not lose sight of them.
As a believer, you are the apple of the eye of the ultimate Father. You are His son; you are His daughter. He has set you in His heart; His angels stand guard over you. Jesus removes guilt; the Holy Spirit speaks truth over deceit. Let the truth dissolve every lie that flows into and through your mind. Christ will never forsake you; you are granted victory over spiritual battles by way of the cross. PressForward as children of the King. ♡
“Keep me [Guard me] as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings,…” (Psalm. 17:8).
