Focus and Trust

The external forces (spiritual darkness) of this world can easily distract our mind and derail our focus. We can become tempted by more money at a less fulfilling job. We can be distracted by events that are in opposition of our values and beliefs. We can lose long-term focus on the good, beneficial factors in our lives when we are derailed by constant, ongoing breaking news that causes instability.

To counteract the intense mess of the things of this world focus on God's word, His goodness, and let His power and grace sweep away the worry and doubt of things that push to penetrate your mind that may not even occur. Release each burden into His hands. I know it is not easy to release a burden, hurt, or frustration. But serenity is better than a swirling mind.

Many biblical figures had to keep their focus on God during difficult seasons: Daniel being punished, he was tossed into a lions den. He trusted God!

Esther while under tremendous stress and pressure to save her people dared to approach her king on behalf of her people. She declared faith in God over her fears.

The Apostle Paul was criticized, beaten, and held prisoner often by the Roman empire. He held fast to God's power and grace.

Believers, too, are encouraged to trust that God's grace is more than sufficient for every need or obstacle of the day. Inhale His peace; let peace that surpasses understanding comfort your soul as you walk in His way. Be at peace, friends. ♡

“The Lord bless you and keep you;” (Numbers 6:24).
