Peace in the Calamity

Peace in the calamity. Calamity is an ongoing occurrence in this broken, fallen world. History shows that the world is copious with a fluctuating stock market, wars, and illnesses. The world just navigated this ugly season of Covid.

Remember when the Ebola and Zika viruses consumed the news? The threat of ISIS caused us to fret. North Korea used to immerse the news and escalates worry. Then, there is Russia. Political parties constantly attack each other.

The 24 hour news cycle and life’s interruptions tend to unravel our security and invade our thought life with doubts and angst.

Nonetheless, God is awesome in power, ultimately in power, and offers peace beyond human understanding. He is for us! Therefore, when discouragement, fears, or an attitude decide to take over command and control of your mind, usher them to the unemployment line. Dismiss discouragement and guide it to the nearest exit door. Escort worry and anxiety to the curb. Offer up gratitude to God for all the blessings He bestows on us from heaven. Dare to ask the Lord to change areas in your heart which still need healed or transformed. Pray for our country; live at peace with God, with yourself, and with others. Do not become faint from doing good. Rejoice and give thanks! You’re doing better than you think. May you hold your peace in the calamity. PressForward! ♡

Do not fret (Philippians 4:6).

Pray through all things (1 Thessalonians 5:16)

Keep doing good (2 Thessalonians 3:13)
