Take a Break from Laboring
Labor day weekend: be cautious of busyness: give yourself permission to disconnect from work or toil or both and find quiet time or shut down time.
The Lord is the gifter of quietness. Quietness leads to refreshment and restoration of the soul. Refreshment and restoration are prerequisites for renewal and revival of the spirit. Along with periods of quietness and refreshment, the good shepherd promises to lead the flock down right paths. Believers have full assurance that our divine shepherd will guide us along narrow, specific, and right paths that only God has chosen. Under the inspiration of divine guidance, king David discerned that the spirit of the Lord led him along his specific path [He guides me], as well as the entire flock of Israel. The Lord upholds all of his promises; God acts in accordance of his character. The Lord’s character rests upon his divine ability to keep His covenants and promises, impart care, and to guide His flock [each believer and His church]. He will provide refreshment, restoration, providence, and divine guidance.
Rest in His assurance, friends. God is good; God’s got you! ♡
He refreshes my soul. He gives me new life. He is my guide to the right road. He does this due his name and promises - Psalm 23:3.
